If it’s all about instilling fear through threats and imposing a serious cost-benefit analysis on everyone for Washington, shouldn’t Washington itself harbor a fear of bankruptcy and consider a cost-benefit analysis of over-expansion and under-balancing against Russia, especially after the recent government shutdown which was the longest in American history? Common sense and logic, anyone?
