Moreover, to fight conventional and limited wars, you need as many foot soldiers and infantry and local forces as you can possibly get, and not only do we not have enough of them, but we are facing an attrition problem in the armed forces as well, for a variety of reasons. Morale, the lack of desire to work for this administration, debt, the fact that the entire Pentagon budget will go to pensions in a matter of time, and the experience of the longest government shutdown in American history which will only repeat itself are just some of the reasons that come to mind for the growing attrition problem in our armed forces. Which is why after having analyzed and studied conflict and war, I am now tired and weary of it to say the least.
