Division, polarization, and social fragmentation had long existed in the West. But what the Ukraine war did was not only bring the division, polarization, and social fragmentation in the West to the fore, but by bringing all of it to the fore, the Ukraine war has essentially dissolved the American global order. Now, there’s a power vacuum or power void left in the international system which Russia and China seek to fill. And of course, the biggest and most significant casualty of this power vacuum or power void will be Europe, considering how part of filling this power vacuum or power void left behind by the dissolution of the American global order consists of Russia splitting Europe into two halves. Moreover, Russia has already de facto split Europe into two halves through “frozen conflict” as opposed to direct conflict with Eastern European nations. But of course, Russia seeks to make this de facto split official through negotiations with Donald Trump. And that is where we are currently in terms of the news.
