“Ocean Prime”(Fourteenth Note to the Review)

Culture and nationalism, populism and mass revolution, and a direct and full-frontal assault and challenge to the Anglo-liberal bourgeoisie global order from virtually every direction are what underpin and undergird current events and international affairs at the present moment. It has been said that “patriotism (or nationalism) is the last resort for the scoundrel.” But if I find any truth to this statement, it means I’m a bougie elitist. And if I’m actually a bougie elitist while never having ever considered myself as one, it only adds to my current identity crisis. Perhaps I can resolve it over afternoon tea and snacks at the Waldorf-Astoria. But then again, there’s no guarantee of it.
