“Khyaal Angiz”

Artist: Habib Qaderi. (Original by Mashoor Jamal). Rough Translation: “You’re a farfetched and illusory dream and desire, I know. It’s only the imagination and nothing else. But you’re exactly what both the body and soul needs. You’re as beautiful as the scent of a garden flower. And you have no flaws whatsoever. You’re perfect. Except that your beauty makes you a little arrogant. But that’s about it. And I don’t want anyone eliciting and provoking comments and thoughts and feelings and sentiments out of me anymore unless you’re the one eliciting and provoking them out of me. And they shouldn’t give someone a second chance at love unless you’re the one who’s giving it to me. Perhaps you should think about it as an analogy or metaphor. It’s all common sense and logic after all: The sun stands out among all the other planets. All the other planets revolve around the sun. Not the other way around. So don’t try to blend in and stoop down to the level of all the other beauties of our time. You’re far more famous and iconic and classy and prestigious than all the rest of them. The way the sun stands out among the planets, you stand out among the beauties of our time.”
