Civility and high culture are what make up the “good life” and the “art of living.” But surprisingly, Afghans were living the “good life” and the “art of living” during the period of time which I highlighted just now. But with angry populist fervor and insanity on the rise, it is now time to reintroduce civility and high culture into American life, lest America goes the way of Afghanistan whereby social aberration and deviance are set into stone and are then irreversible.
