In sum, it’s both real and an illusion, given that both reality and the illusion stem from the imagination. But the benefit or the upside of the illusion is that it is a beautiful and illustrious one that happens to translate into a beautiful and charming poem and song that reflects reality. And of course, there must be something to it if it prompts mind-reading of this scale. And there obviously is something to it. Art and the imagination would have no place in the world if there wasn’t something to them. Art and the imagination are the antidote or the remedy to the medieval drudgery and misery of ordinary and regular life after all.
