Liberal lawfare and warmongering gave way to populist cruelty, criminality, fear-mongering, and terror, and in turn, populist cruelty, criminality, fear-mongering, and terror will give way to something else sometime in the future. Nevertheless, what is constant and the independent variable amidst all the change and transformation is oppression and repression. Thus, if we want to understand conflict and war, we have to understand discontent and dissatisfaction, and if we want to understand discontent and dissatisfaction, we have to understand oppression and repression.
