[Compel to fight -> Manipulation of risk -> Limited War -> Total War]

It is as if it is automatic and formulaic and mechanical, in the sense that the act or threat of “compellence” in Europe is a manipulation of the risk of a disaster in Europe, and the manipulation of the risk of a disaster in Europe is sought to be managed through limited war in Europe, even though limited war in Europe is the one sure guarantee of total war in Europe! It follows that total war in Europe is guaranteed, unless we are missing something here.
