Artist: Sharafat Parwani. Original: Folklore. Rough Translation: “Appease the beloved, because that’s the only way to the good life. The good life means appeasing the beloved. There’s nothing else to it. Tell her she’s a beautiful mature white woman, and it doesn’t suit her if she’s dark and gloomy. Tell her to stop killing you with her games. If she persists, you’ll die from the pain of it. And it’s not fair coming from someone who’s older and more experienced than you are. She should know better. Tell the beloved that you’re not looking for much, except for perhaps a love affair with her. And that everyone is hysterical and neurotic because they’re all thinking the exact same. You say what they all think out loud. But add that I don’t wish on anyone else what you sought to put me through as a result of being honest and truthful about it.”
