“Laila (Part Two)” – ليلا (قسمت دوم)

Artist: Sharafat Parwani. Original: Folklore. Rough Translation: “Appease the beloved, because it’s your only hope for the good life. It’s your last chance at the good life. She’s the one and only, forever and eternal. The beloved is like Promethean fire. Once the fire is sparked in you, it’ll never go out. Sparked in you the way Afghanistan sparked your long conversation with her. Your greatest worry, after all, is your loneliness and isolation. And she’s your only way out of it. And whoever imposed this loneliness and isolation has a special place in hell by the way. And to hell with this day and age where two people can’t even meet or talk to one another. May the Great Satan and its gossip be wiped off the face of the earth. But as I said, I don’t care for much. A love affair would suffice. What else does this business or market even have to offer? My content and work is much better than all the rest that’s out there. It’s made out of the essence and stuff of love unlike all the shallow rest.”
