In short, you can’t “balance” between the two, given that one calls for the elimination of the other, even though the other cannot be eliminated without the risk of hysteria and neurosis. Hence, the evil and stupidity of religion as well as its proponents. And I will admit, I acquiesced to the claim that you can balance the two, until I sought to figure out how it could be done. And when I realized that there was no way in which it could be done, I arrived and settled at the conclusion that one has to be given up for the other, and we give up the evil and stupid one in order to avoid hysteria and neurosis.
