Or will it all translate into a situation whereby China and Russia acquiesce to what is supposed to be the ultimate outcome of a balance of power international system – namely, spheres of influence – as a result of the kidnapping in Venezuela? It is of course hard to tell because of all the chaos. Even though it is all about power and realpolitik on the international level, on the domestic level, the administration faces both political opposition as well as the basic legal administration and organization of both state and society. If international society is lawless and it is “The Wild Wild West” per se, on a domestic level, you need the rule of law. No one can be above the law on a domestic level even if you can be on the international level. Otherwise, basic social order falls apart on a domestic level and no one will be able to even survive, let alone maintain economic and social prosperity.
