Identity politics – or the evil and petty pursuit of recognition for oneself but not for others which is really at the heart of it all if you think about it – is presumably all about ‘identity.’ But ‘identity’ is what? It is the expression of one’s inner self. And what is it that we are expressing from within ourselves? Is it art and sophisticated propaganda which is supposed to be the case in the digital and information age? Or is it a cheap and petty anger and resentment for everyone?
