To be a player in what is essentially “The Great Game” between Washington and Moscow, the qualifications and the prerequisites are simple and straightforward: dumb, psychopathic, sociopathic, illiterate, uninformed, and egotistical.
But if you have overcome being sent to the mental asylum after having gone crazy by becoming literate and informed and calm and cerebral, then it all comes down to what the incentive is to play. In the very end, it is very much the difference between the incentive to play on one hand and the long game on the other hand. And it is of course a very tough choice to make. But it all depends on what you know.
