“The Hamilton.” Part of the famous “Clyde’s Group” which includes the “1789 Restaurant” we featured here a long time ago. And something interesting I learned recently was that the “1789 Restaurant” was one of the favorites of Obama and Merkel. This one is of course named after Alexander Hamilton, a Founding Father, diplomat, presidential adviser, lawyer, orphan, banker, and revolutionary – a jack of all trades and a man who wore many hats – who then ended up dying in a duel which then changed the course of American government policy for the course of about a century. I’ve summoned a few to a duel as well, but got no response. So I assume they forfeited the duel. Only a duel can settle a debate on government policy which will then change the course of government policy for the course of about a century. But for appetizer, cream of crab soup, and for the main dish, braised lamb tagliatelle with whipped lemon ricotta and pecorino romano. Let’s see how it goes.
