In sum, if there were a basic aim or goal behind social activism and whistleblowing which everyone can agree on, despite the disparate causes and issues which underpin the social activism and whistleblowing of the entire range and spectrum of those who engage in social activism and whistleblowing, it would be less government interference and intrusion into people’s lives on one hand, and more economic, political, and social freedoms and liberties for people on the other hand. And the full achievement or realization of such an aim or goal is still a work in progress, no matter what country or society we look at.
